I know Luxembourg as our neighbor was working there last year.
What is the spoon pic?
Israel
What a spity language!
It just was too commercial sounding almost like it was a slogan made into a song.
I still kinda like it?
rating: 6.4
Turkey
Disco mania!
I soo agree with ya it was back to the 70's
It was cute!
But the 70's were more than plastic disco Andy dear there was ROCK!
7.2
Armenia
Wow I think it was horrible song that was written by a 12 year old.
What tard lyrics.
rating: 4.5
Canada votes:
England - 10++++++++
Israel - 2.4
Have to say, the sound of the English lyrics intermixed with the noise made just before a greenie is spit onto the sidewalk did nothing for me. No toe tapping factor here at all, sorry Andy but this one did not have me "screamin' like a girlie".
Turkey - 2.5
Do I really have to vote on this one.......you know I'm a vegetarian!!!
Okay, so this had visions of Studio 54 dancing in my head. Very disco, very 70's, very dated! Disco is dead people, let it rest in peace!
Marginally better than it's two running mates so it got a marginally better score.
Armenia - 2.4
Well, it would have been a princess story fairy tale for a first time entrant to win eh? Don't believe in fairy tales myself.
Again an unsucessful mix of two languages which was confusing, but to make matters worse the music and chorus drowned out the lead singer.
Better luck next time!
Love you Bob & Andy!

Hey Andy:
Dean Martin sang Volare and made it famous in the America's.
Also, there was a car the Plymouth Volare and yes the song was used in the advertisement. The television ad featured Ricardo Monteban praising the "fine Corinthian leather" of the vehicle.
:o)
Do I loose EuroVision Virgin points for this?
Love you!

********************************************************** Tigger's Eurovision 2006 Song Scoring Card ********************************************************** Scale: 1-10 (Ten being best) ********************************************************* Representing Country: USA *********************************************************
Song #1 - Israel Tigger Score = 3.2
The intertwining of two languages just does not seem to work very well in this song. A little cluttered for the mind. Did you also notice, that at different times in the song, how much the song changed? I felt like I was hearing an amalgamation of about three different songs.
A little too "gospel" sounding for my tastes. I agree with you Andy. Makes me want to watch Jesus Christ Superstar.
Where's my tambourine?
..."Good morning Star-shine, The Earth says Hello"...
Song #2 - Turkey Tigger Score = 8.9
Wow! I really liked this one.
Fabulous song! And let me tell you why I think so:
1. That awesome "Middle Eastern" sound mixed with the drum and bass. Brilliant! Always a very great combination. Sorry Bob, this was a great sounding song. I don't know how you can say it sounded flat. ???
2. Although I couldn't understand any of the lyrics, I still enjoyed it as much. I hope you sings in Turkish. Sound great.
Song #3 - Armenia Tigger Score = 1.8
Not impressed. Gave them points for the "Middle Eastern" sounds inserted and that is about it.
Sounds like another song, I've heard? More Ricky Martin?
Lyrics were awful. And.....yes, lyrics are very repetitive.

Unfortunately, the politicizing of Eurovision is just a sad fact of the World we live in today. England? US? it all seems to be the same thing happening wherever you live.
Andy, your segment on famous Eurovision "bits & pieces" was very interesting. I am beginning to feel like a student at "Eurovision University". I also enjoyed your segment on countries that have left Eurovision. So, so, so much Eurovision information.
I feel like I've seen a Eurovision Song Contest Final without ever seeing one.
